The Metro Redline Rail is a block from campus.  The  Memorial Hermann/Houston Zoo (at entrance 3) or the Dryden TMC stop are about equal distance from the Shell Auditorium.

Getting There: Jones School of Business @ Rice University

Wyndham Medical Center

To Venue - Rice University McNair Hall: Regular shuttle service to Rice begins at 7 am and ends at 9 am, on 15-20 minute intervals. Late arrivals need to arrange a special shuttle with the front desk, or arrange for their own transportation (cab, Uber, etc., at their own expense).

From Venue to Hotel:  Regular shuttle service from McNair Hall to the hotel begins at the end of each full conference day, and will run on regular intervals until 1 hour after adjournment.  Participants who wish to leave early must arrange a special shuttle with the hotel, or arrange for their own transportation at their own expense.

Marriott Texas Medical Center

For our speakers/panelists, free hotel shuttle is available to you upon request. Arrange with the front desk at least one hour prior to your need to be at Rice.

Getting There: Ground Transportation for Air Travelers

  • Houston is served by two airports, George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and William P. Hobby (HOU).

  • Taxicabs are available at an estimated cost of $20-30 to or from William P. Hobby Airport or $50-60 to or from George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

  • Super Shuttle operates a shuttle bus between George Bush Intercontinental Airport and the Marriott & Wyndham Hotels for $25 one-way and $48 round-trip. For reservations, call 1-800-BLUE-VAN or visit www.supershuttle.com.

  • We strongly recommend making reservations for ground transportation in advance!

From William P. Hobby Airport (HOB)
Take Hobby Airport Loop to Airport Blvd (1.min) then take I-45 North to Hwy 59 South to Fannin Street exit (approximate 20 minutes). Take Fannin to Marriott Texas Medical Center 6580 Fannin Street. The Wyndham is right around the corner on Main Street.

  • Alternate transportation: Super Shuttle Service; fee: $25 USD (one way) ;reservation required

  • Estimated taxi fare: $40 USD  (one way)

From George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
Get on William Clayton Parkway to I 69/Hwy. 59 South to Fannin Street down 2 miles to the Marriott.  The Wyndham is just around the corner on Main.

  • Alternate transportation: Super Shuttle Service; fee: $40 USD (one way) ; reservation required

  • Estimated taxi fare: $62 USD  (one way)

Hotel Shuttles to & from Venue

Rice University has shuttle buses which run on campus (Inner Loop) as well as the surrounding Texas Medical Center area.  Campus visitors can use the us at no cost (free!).  For assistance to their destination, riders can ask the bus driver.
